Rentprime was born out of our own pain — the yearly Excel marathons, the frantic follow-up queries from the tax adviser, the forgotten apportionment keys under the German Heating Costs Ordinance (German heating regulation).
The Rentprime idea was born from a frustrated moment in 2024: three weeks lost because a heating bill was calculated using the wrong German heating regulation table and the tenant rightfully objected. Software would have prevented this — but everything we tested back then was either too complex (estimated 30 hours to learn) or too simple (just PDF templates, no allocation logic).
So we're building Rentprime exactly the way we need it ourselves: quick to learn, with all legal requirements built in, AI for routine work and real legal certainty. Every workflow in the tool was tested at least once by one of our landlord testers and adjusted accordingly.
What this means in practice
- We are building no features for advisors or property managers with 500 units, which the solo landlord doesn't understand.
- We test every billing function on real, historical receipts from our own properties — before it goes live.
- We take support feedback straight into the product — usually within 7 days, not by roadmap quarter.
